SY18U mini excavator took the spotlight at National Diesel Dirt and Turf show in April
Chinese construction equipment brand, SANY, has unveiled its new 1.9-tonne SY18U mini excavator at the National Diesel Dirt and Turf expo held in April 2023 at Eastern Creek, NSW.
The excavator’s key feature is its zero tail-swing, meaning the machine’s housing always stays within the tracks however it rotates, making it ideal for work in tight spaces such as in yards or in houses.
According to SANY distributor, Yello Equipment™, the machine has been built to last and features quality components that operators know and trust.
“Some of the key features are genuine Yanmar engine, LED lighting isolators and emergency stops as standard,” said Yello Equipment’s Andy Hopcroft.
“It’s very versatile and will really hit the market well.”
Adding to the machine’s versatility is its adjustable track width, which can go from a minimum of 980mm to a maximum of 1350mm.
The SY18U comes with a 0.04 cubic-metre bucket.
A suspension seat and ergonomic, yet simple controls complete the package.
Moving forward, SANY has plans to introduce battery powered equipment into the local market.
“Some of the new products that are coming through to complement this unit is the SY19E, which is a new electric model and we are really excited to see what this unit can do,” Hopcroft said.
“Not offsetted by electric is the performance, so customers can still expect the same hump and thump that they would from a SANY product.”
The SANY SY18U is covered by a five year or 5000-hour warranty, whichever comes first.
